Great Season Ducks!
Hello Team!
All the practices are over, conference is complete - now all we have left to do is celebrate!
Our end of season celebration is Tuesday, July 21 at 5pm at The Landing. All the ribbons from the entire season will be distributed then, along with team pictures and participation medals (and anything else that wasn't picked up this season). We hope as many families as possible can make it! This is for the entire team - Competitive, Minis and Ducklings!
Conference Results:
Out of 153 competitive swimmers on our team (non-Mini Ducks or Ducklings) we took 57 swimmers to conference. Although we had the smallest number of conference participants, we finished 6th overall out of 9 total teams!
Thank you to our coaches who worked on all the technical data entry involved with conference weeks before the actual event, and then worked tirelessly from very early in the morning until late at night on Saturday and then again all day Sunday to show up and cheer for our swimmers and coach them through such a big meet!
And of course we couldn't do it without the parents who brought swimmers to conference and made sure they were lined up, worked the first aid station, timed, and made sure everything ran as it was supposed to!
Amelia Lee was our team's women's high point winner, placing 2nd overall for the entire conference for 15-18yo women with 87 points. Next was Riley Snyder with 48 points, Paislee Odom with 43, and Ava Klefot with 41.
Tucker Wilson was our team's men's high point winner with 70 points, then Wesley VanZanten with 65, William Cook with 64, and Austin VanZanten with 63.
All the swimmers put in a great effort and we hope to bring even more swimmers to conference next year!
A big thanks again to all the parents who contributed to decorating our tent to make it look awesome, and for Megan Kinsolving and Kelsey Snyder for organizing it!
Go Ducks! 🦆
