*Waterford is one of the largest teams in the league - please have your swimmers to the meet on time and make sure you take/send them to clerk of course at the right time (usually 2 events prior to their event) to keep things moving! For swimmers ages 11 and older, Clerk of Course does not line them up, so if your swimmer is prone to distraction, they may need your guidance keeping track of when they need to be in place behind the starting block. We will not have enough time to wait for swimmers to be in place, and if they are not there, they could miss their race. We absolutely do not want this to happen, but coaches and clerk of course can not go into the crowd to find swimmers who are not in place at the right time. 

This swim meet is likely to last until 10pm - please pay close attention to the heat sheet, as the order of events may be switched from our normal flow to make sure swimmers needing legal times for certain strokes can obtain them in order to swim them for Conference.

*You can use the SwimTopia app to keep track of scoring during the meet with the Pro version ($15/yr) - if you want to try it out they do offer a free trial, so you could sign up for that before the meet tomorrow and see if you like it (only our home meets show up in it for now).

Our Address is 5600 Harrodsburg Road, Nicholasville, KY 40356 - you will turn onto Clubhouse Blvd from Harrodsburg Rd. From there a parking attendant will direct you where to park depending on availability of parking lot space. See the map below, green squares indicate available parking space for swim meets.

The pool is on Keene Manor Circle (take a right at the end of Clubhouse Dr.) next to CORE Fitness.

*If getting directions from GPS, make sure it is not directing you to Avenue of Champions, which is where the KT offices are. The pool can only be accessed from the Harrodsburg Rd entrance, if your GPS shows a different way, that is a private driveway and is not accessible.

Please read all the way through this email, as some details are different than a typical swim meet in keeping with Keene Trace's Club policy and offerings through The Landing Restaurant. No outside food or drinks (including personal water bottles) and no alcohol is permitted. Free bottled water will be available in iced coolers on the pool deck all night to swimmers and spectators.

*Please let family members who don't receive team emails know about this policy

Swimmers may bring personal water/sports drinks and snacks needed to refuel between races.

Arrival

We have several parking lots available and 2 overflow parking lots. Please only park in the green designated spots seen below. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE STREET or walk through any yards upon arrival or departure. Parking attendants will direct you when you arrive.

The visiting team area will be to the right of our resort style pool as you enter. Our team area is over by The Landingl You can set up chairs/pop-up tents as necessary in that area. 

The resort style pool will be CLOSED for the swim meet!

Warm-Up Time

Warm-up for Keene will be from 4:45-5:15pm

Warm up for CH will be from 5:15-5:45pm

Meet Time / Order of Events

5:45pm Timer & Officials Meetings

5:55pm National Anthem

6pm - Meet Starts

The meet will start at 6:00pm and will continue until all events are completed or until 10pm, whichever comes first.

Please clean up trash as you leave with your swimmer.

Heat Sheet

The heat sheet will be provided via email in a PDF document. We will email this out on Wednesday afternoon. They will NOT be available in printed form at the meet.

We will provide a printed copy of the heatsheet only to officials, coaches, and timers and volunteers. Stopwatches will be provided for timers.

Food and Drinks

There will be a grab and go menu located at The Landing adjacent to the pool. Swimmers and families can purchase dinner and drinks at their convenience. 

We ask that you kindly NOT BRING IN OUTSIDE FOOD, DRINKS, or COOLERS TO THE POOL DECK. Staff will direct you to leave the pool area if you have these items, so please leave them in your car if you bring them.

Should you choose to patronize The Landing Restaurant dining area, please note that dining attire is required (shoes, clothing) while in the restaurant/lawn area adjacent to the restaurant. Alcohol can only be ordered from inside the restaurant.

The walk up window is available for ordering food and

non-alcoholic beverages.

Cash/Card/Keene Trace account are accepted, no Apple Pay though.

The Swim Meet Menu is as follows:

Pretzels and Queso $11

Beef and Cheese Nachos $11

Chicken Caesar Salad $12

Pulled Pork Sandwich $12

Ice cream, Milkshakes, and other snacks available as well

Restrooms

Restrooms are available in the Pool House, you will see them as you enter through the Pool House entrance on the left side of the hallway. The main Clubhouse is NOT open for restrooms or for swim team families.
