Hello Team!

Just a few reminders about this week's swim meet at Palomar:

- You have until 11:59pm Monday 6/8 to edit your swimmers' event preferences - events are now loaded in the app, so if you've only marked "attending," you can now go back and edit and be more specific

- Coaches have final say on what swimmers are signed up for - if a swimmer has not demonstrated a legal stroke at practice, they likely will not be entered for that stroke at a meet until coaches know they are capable

- There are only 8 relay spots for each relay per age group. Coaches select swimmers for relays - not every swimmer who indicates they are available for relays will swim in one

- Relays count for the most points

From Palomar:

Your team will be set up in the parking lot closest to the Clubhouse - there is limited shade in that area so please encourage parents to bring pop-up tents if they would like. 

There will be no spectator seating for either team on our pool deck. Visiting teams and Palomar will watch their kids swim under the deck at the side of the pool behind the yellow safety line or there is limited availability to watch on the deck above. Our upper deck has a capacity limit of 25 people, so we please ask that your parents be mindful of these limits in advance and incorporate the available space below. 

No chairs will be allowed to be put up above or below deck. (Please message me if accommodations or mobility issues are needed so we can accommodate). The parking lot is marked by age group to help make it easier for your parents to set up and your round up people to gather kids. Swimmers (and swimmers ONLY) will enter the pool deck and line up for clerk of course from the stairs at the deep end of the pool. Parents will walk around the clubhouse to come onto the pool deck. 

Please ask your families to not allow kids to go behind the fence at the back of the pool. That is private property and the home owners will complain. There is no parking in the townhomes parking lot (entrance marked with a no parking sign just before the pool on Lyon Drive) tow trucks have been called in the past so please make sure your parents do not park in there. 

Please ask parents to be respectful of driveways, fire hydrants, etc. when parking on the street. 

Your warmup time is at 5:25pm. 

We will email the heat sheet on Wednesday afternoon and will NOT have extras on hand to sell. Please let your parents know to print before coming. 

We will have a timer meeting at 5:45 and announce beforehand, where I will pass out all stopwatches and clipboards and go over procedures. 

We will have Drake's and Frenchy's food trucks and Three Mom's Pops there for the evening. They accept cash or card. We do not have a traditional concession stand.
