Hello Team!

Now that everyone is back from Spring Break, we have been working on swim team stuff because summer will be here before we know it! 

Please go ahead and register your swimmers if you are planning to swim this season, this will help us plan our evaluations and after school practices! 

We have had an overwhelmingly positive response in sign ups for the team, especially in the younger age groups! As you know, our Mini Ducks spots filled up more quickly than ever. 

Mini Ducks and Ducklings 

It is a priority for the club to make sure we can accommodate as many waitlisted members as possible and maintain optimal water safety, so in order to do that, we created a new practice group called the "Ducklings" - these are our youngest (mostly 3 & 4 year old) swimmers who are looking forward to participating on the team, but at such a young age, are probably not likely to be working toward competing in a meet this summer. They will practice right after Mini Ducks (10:45am-11:05am). This will allow us to optimize our coaching for targeted improvement for each age group appropriately while maintaining a safe swim environment for all participants and coaches. I was able to add all of our currently registered youngest swimmers to the Ducklings group and get everyone on the waitlist at this point a spot in the program. 

Swimsuits 

The fitting kit is still available for your swimmers to go try on suits if you still need to figure out their sizes. Please keep the kit neat for others to try on. This kit belongs to Swimville, and all suits in it need to be returned in the condition in which they were given to us. Please do not remove tags, liners, or tear the bags. The first deadline for ordering suits is this Sunday, April 19 - this will ensure your swimmer's suit is available by Hype Night (May 14). If you don't place your order before the first deadline, you can order by May 17 (deadline for swim team sign up) and still receive your suit before the first swim meet. Your registration confirmation email has the link to order suits, and it is on the website as well. 

*If you have suits that you can no longer use, please pass them along to current swimmers, or bring them to practice or get them to me, these team suits are exclusive to Keene Trace and we would love to keep them within circulation of our own team. We can always use some extras on hand in the event that someone outgrows a suit mid-season, forgets one at a meet, etc. 

Communications

Once you are signed up through SwimTopia, you will receive emails through our communication system, which allows me to contact certain groups of swimmers at a time (rather than have to send a blast to everyone). I will be sending communication via our old email list as well as through the SwimTopia registration list until registration is closed, so some of you might receive this email twice. Please download the SwimTopia App and make sure notifications are turned on. These will work with the free version.
